Sports Achievements

  • From the dawn of history competitions games have been encouraged as an important part of education and growing up.

  • Mr. S. K. Setia HCF Ex(DPI School, Chandigarh) visited our school as chief Guest on the distribution function of Sports Talent search scholarship and 27 students received scholarship from him.

  • 14 students received scholarship of Rs. 6600/- per player from sports authority of India in various games like Boxing, Handball, and Kho-Kho.

  • Amit Kumar won 1st position in state level weight lifting competition.

  • Our NCC Cadets attended training Camp held at Palampur and won over all 1st position.

  • 40 students received scholarship of Rs. 600/- or 1000/- from U.T. Sports department for various positions in sports.

  • CBSE National Tournament held in S.D. Sr. Secondary. School, Sector – 32, Chandigarh and won Gold Medal Omesh Bhatt student of our school declared best player in this tournament

  • Our School Handball team bagged 3rd position in Mini olympic Competition.

  • Handball Team of our school bagged 1st position in Sub- Junior Handball Competition.

  • Three players participated in (U-19 Boys) School National HAndball Competition.

  • Our School 05 players participated in (U-17 boys) school National Handball competition.

  • 03 players of our school bagged 1st position in (U-19) school National Handball Competition.

  • Our school 04 players participated in Sub. Junior Nationa Handball Competition.

  • Overall 2nd position in Gatka Boys Inter School Competition.

  • Our School bagged overall 1st position in Gatka (Girls) Inter School Competition.

  • Five players of our school participated in Junior National Gatka Competition.

  • Our school bagged overall 1st position in Gatka (Boys) U.T state competition.

  • Overall Boxing U-19 Boys Team secured 2nd position in Inter School Tournament.

  • Our School overall Boxing Sub-Junior Boys Team bagged 2nd position in Sub-junior state Tournament.

Other Achievements

  • Language department of Chandigarh organized competition on Nibandh, Kahani & Kavita Lekhan in which 8th and 10th class students participated and got prizes

  • Every year our students participate in countless region competitions and won many attractive shields, cash prizes and scholarships

  • Our Hindi Teacher participated on Hindi Seminar Discussion war on “Hindi Grammar Topics” and won 1st prize.

  • The Students collected sum of Rs.30,000/- from their relatives and neighbourers to help the cancer patients and got many attractive prizes from the cancer society.

  • Our School conducted Nation wide Interaction Science Olympiad on 12th Sep, 2007 in which our school students also participated and won prizes. Appointed a doctor in the school for Routine health checkup of all students.

  • Organized a Grand School Fete on November 16th 2008 which was a huge success. The fete includes various inter school competitions, Stalls, Swings and Raffle Ticket Draw.

  • Jawahar Lal Nehru National Science Exhibition was held in Sec – 32, Chandigarh in the month of November and our three exhibits were selected of the state level competition in which our exhibit on the topic Water Management won 3rd Prize.

Activities at Glance

1. Independence day celebrations:- Independence day celebrations kicked off in our campus with the school students, staff and Management. Students put up commandable performances in cultural show. S. Avtar Singh ji (President  Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Sec19, Chd ) presided over this function as chief guest. S. Harbhajan Singh Nagi and S. Joginder Singh Matharoo from Fevicol Champion Club were the quest of honours. Prizes were given by fevicol champion to all the best performers. Principal Mrs. Ajit KAur gave a  vote  of thanks. Over all it was a enjoyable and theme oriented show .

2. Teachers Day Celebration:-Teachers day was celebrated by the staff and students with great fervour. Celebration was started from the Morning Assembly. In it  Students highlighted the importance of Teachers Day.  Teaching Staff paid a rich tribute to Dr. Radhakrishnan in whose sweet memory this day is celebrated all over the country. Principal organised an excursion for teachers. It was a visit to Ramgarh Fort . They had two sessions breakfast and Lunch. In first session teachers played various games and enjoyed fun activities. In the Second session principal Mrs. Ajit Kaur enlightened the importance and role of teachers.The excursion was really a great success. Teachers thanked the Principal.
